Process:
STEP ONE: The class is divided into five groups. Each group will become a habitat specialist on ONE of the following habitats:
STEP THREE: Each group member selects a role:
Use the websites provided to gather information on the Class of animals you specialize in. Collect 3-5 facts about your animal class. Then select an animal within that class that lives in your group's habitat!
Collect 8-10 facts, details, or characteristics on your animal. Also find a picture of your animal. Organize your information to be able to add it to the group visual on your habitat.
Example:
Group Habitat - Arctic Tundra (Group researches features of this habitat)
Role- Mammal Specialist (YOU research characteristics of mammals)
Animal to research in depth- Polar Bear (a mammal in the Arctic Tundra)
Things to consider when researching your animals:
STEP FOUR: Put it all together!
With your group assemble a visual that describes your habitat in great detail. Then each member will add information on their class of animals they specialize in and an animal within that class and habitat.

Things to consider when researching your animals:
- Is it an invertebrate or vertebrate?
- What does it eat and how does it collect it's food?
- Does it lay eggs or give birth?
- Does it have scales, feathers, fur or hair?
- When does it sleep, day or night?
- Does it have any predators?
- Does it have any special characteristics that help it survive? (Such as speed, camouflage, etc.)
